I lead a mobile team building the car rental booking experience at Sixt — iOS and Android, used by millions of travellers. Ten-plus years of hands-on mobile engineering behind me; today most of my energy goes into helping engineers do their best work: pairing on architecture, unblocking decisions, protecting focus.

At Sixt I manage the mobile engineering team responsible for the car rental booking funnel — the part of the app where customers find, configure and book their rental. We ship on iOS and Android, and the work has to feel effortless on the street and survive a Monday morning at the airport.
Bei Sixt verantworte ich ein Mobile-Engineering-Team, das den Car-Rental-Buchungsfunnel der Apps entwickelt — den Teil, in dem Kundinnen und Kunden ihr Fahrzeug finden, konfigurieren und buchen. Wir liefern sowohl auf iOS als auch auf Android, und das Erlebnis muss auf der Straße leichtgängig wirken und einen Montagmorgen am Flughafen überstehen.
Endurance is the other half of the practice. I race triathlon for Post SV Weilheim — Olympic, Ironman, all distances — and spend the off-season on trail-running and the bike. Long efforts are where the good ideas show up.
Ausdauer ist die andere Hälfte des Handwerks. Ich starte im Triathlon für den Post SV Weilheim — olympisch, Ironman, alle Distanzen — und verbringe die Wintermonate auf Trails und am Rad. Die guten Ideen kommen meist auf langen Einheiten.
